Tuesday Truths: Caring Relationships
We Care. That is our BUU mission. We care for our spiritual home, for one another, for our community, and for our souls. Our vibrant ministries carry this out in Institutional Stewardship, Inreach, Outreach, and Spiritual Nourishment programing.
Last week, we opened up to our self-care practices, that essential steps of tending to our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs. You read the responses of several folks and add your own: CLICK HERE.
This week, shift from the personal to the interpersonal, and invite one another share: How do you care for others in your relationships? This is a big question and you might answer how you care for family, friends, a pet companion, or even strangers that you meet in your daily life. Caring is a big thing for us at BUU, so take a moment, and consider the practices you have for caring.
Members, Friends, and Guests are welcome to name their care practices, which will then be shared below on this page.

Responses from Members, Friends and Guests of BUU
The experience of connection is important for me. I tend to the health of connections I'm involved in, wish to engage in, or am moved to support. When I hear of someone's concerns or circumstances where they are alone or struggling in some way, I create a connection, generally by email or text, depending on the person or situation. Sometimes I will phone when moved by what's going on, or if I haven't heard from family or a friend for a while. I think of acts of connection as fertilizer for growing and nurturing connection with family, friends and in community. I also care for my introverted self and allow space between engaging in connections to maintain a relative balance.

I call when I hear someone is having health problems, Physical or psychological, or I write them a snail mail note.
