Job Description
1. Clean and maintain building facilities. Duties to be done weekly or more frequently, if needed.
a. Empty all trash and garbage containers on site.
b. Sweep and clean exterior veranda and sidewalk areas.
c. Clean bathrooms and kitchen fixtures and appliance surfaces.
d. Sweep and mop office, auditorium, gallery and kitchen floors.
e. Dust furniture, window sills, equipment and fixtures.
f. Set up and break down of furniture in auditorium as needed
for Sunday services or scheduled events.
g. Replace paper products - bathrooms, kitchen monthly or seasonally as needed.
Monthly or Seasonally as needed
1. Wash windows inside and out.
2. Monitor and replace all interior and exterior electrical components and lighting fixtures including those in parking and drive through areas and any decorative lighting being used.
3. Maintain designated landscape areas (not gardens) including weed control and mowing as needed
4. Gutters should be cleaned at least 2x year
5. Watch for ceiling leaks or major potholes after heavy rains
- notify Buildings & Grounds Chair
6. Check building and storage shed security, locking and unlocking as requested.
7. Assist with equipment and furniture moves when requested.
8. Order paper products, cleaning supplies, and tools and products needed
for maintenance. Building & Grounds Chair approves orders.
9. Maintain septic system-application of enzymes and other chemicals
on schedule prescribed by Buildings &Grounds.
10. Manage pest control on premises. Notify supervisor (minister) and B&G chair
when contract pest control is needed.
11. Organize and maintain inventory of tools used to complete work.
12. Perform additional maintenance tasks identified by Buildings & Grounds: ex: painting
13. Notify supervisor (minister) and Buildings & Grounds Chair when repairs are needed
to any major system: water, pump house, septic, plumbing, electrical,
heating/air conditioning, roof, ceiling leaks, etc.
14. Attend scheduled staff and Buildings & Grounds meetings.
