COVID-19 Updated Guidelines
July 1, 2021
In response to the risks of COVID transmission in Pima County, the BUU Board of Directors has suspended these guidelines. They have adopted the "Next Steps Procedure" for determining when these guidelines will be reinstated. CLICK HERE to read that procedure.
Purpose
These guidelines are intended to create a framework which enables our BUU congregation to hold activities during the COVID-19 pandemic while also protecting and caring for our beloved community. These guidelines are intended to be enabling, not restrictive.
Duration
These guidelines will remain in place until the Board of Directors decides otherwise.
Scope
These guidelines apply to all BUU-sponsored in-person activities, both on and off BUU
property, with the exception of pastoral visits within a hospice.
Guidelines
If you do have symptoms related to COVID-19, please do not join in BUU activities and
contact your doctor.
All BUU-sponsored events and activities must be scheduled in advance with our Office
Manager.
All BUU-sponsored events and activities must have a point person who is responsible for
scheduling the event, ensuring that the event follows these guidelines, and reporting back to our Office Manager the names of those in attendance (for contact tracing, if necessary), as well as those who arrived but could not participate because of fever or other symptoms.
All participants over the age of 5 must wear masks. All participants must maintain social
distancing of 6 feet or more (exception: members of the same household may be closer).
No participants with symptoms consistent with COVID-19 may be allowed to participate.
The maximum number of participants for an event will be 5 persons on the veranda, 10
persons elsewhere (exception: additional persons may participate if they remain in their
vehicles).
No physical contact (hugs, kisses, handshakes, hand-holding, elbow-bumps, etc.) between
participants will be allowed (exception: members of the same household may have physical contact).
Only one event may be held at one time on BUU property.
No food may be shared among participants.
All furniture shall be provided by BUU and set up by BUU staff for any event held on BUU
property. For events held off BUU property, each participant shall provide their own furniture. All furniture shall be disinfected both before and after each event.
Exceptions
No exceptions. Anyone planning a BUU-sponsored event that would not conform to these
guidelines should contact our Office Manager for consideration.
