Congregational Assessment 2015
In the Fall of 2015, the Board of Directors appointed a team of five,
Loretta Carmickle, Diane Farone, Pat Greenig, Ernie Lopez, and Paul Taylor, charged to assess where we are with respect to five goals set at the beginning of our search for a developmental minister in 2013. |
Our Five Goals for Developmental Ministry1. To develop better organizational system structures,
2. To emphasize the congregation’s character as a spiritually nurturing 3. To reaffirm our position as a welcoming congregation that appreciates diversity. Diversity can refer to cultural or legal factors such as race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or it may refer to diversity of beliefs or 4. To expand our visibility in the community as an active, concerned 5. To increase our membership base to a financially secure level, with a strong emphasis on stewardship and commitment. |
The Team conducted four Focus Groups and a congregation wide survey. Forty-four different individuals participated by sharing their thoughts. This is a chart that summarizes the major responses to each of the five goals, together with suggested directions to take.
